I AM ADDICTED TO JACKIE GLEASON I grew up in the 50's, 60's and listened mostly to Elvis, Beatles as a kid. I've always liked easy listening, but did not know of Jackie Gleason's orchestra. I was on Ebay and saw his "Lush Moods" cassettefor sale for $1.00. I said "why not?" and bought it just to hear what he sounded like. If first impressions last, the first song was "My Funny Valentine" which I always heard Frank Sinatra sing and I guess the vocals kept me from focusing on the actual music. When I heard Jackie's instrumental rendition of this song, I was in love. I went back to Ebay and found someone selling a stack of 10 Jackie Gleason albums for $1.00... and in the next town for pick-up! A lot of these albums I do not find on the Music Blogs.
